New Music: Sabatahj - I Ain't Trippin

Hey Everyone! Now, anyone who knows me knows that I am a supporter of the arts! I love to support the work of dancers, singers, stylists. rappers, photographers and more. Today's post features new music from new artist Sabatahj who is also referred to as "Sabatahj, The Freak." This is no mistake as he is definitely here for the ladies. Sabatahj has recently released his new single "I Ain't Trippin." Ladies, you are all definitely going to love this one.  I've personally had it on repeat since I first listened to it. It's now on my slow jams playlist. If you are looking for some feel good music to vibe to then "I Ain't Trippin" is your song!

If you enjoyed it as much as I did then you should definitely purchase "I Ain't Trippin" here on iTunes today. It is refreshing to see new singers who can actually sing and rappers who can actually rap and Mr. Sabatahj is here doing both for us. I think the first thing that drew me to the song was the way he was hitting those high notes so effortlessly. I also loved the old school feel of the song and it doesn't hurt that the video itself takes you all the way back to the 50's. I absolutely love this song!

Keep Up With Sabatahj, The Freak

Beyonce's New Haircut

I know this post is so late but it still deserved a post! Can I get a shoutout for the Queen Bey who made such a bold move with her new hairdo! #TeamNaturalsStandUp. Hate her music or love her music and hate her or love her but you would be a fool if you tried to deny that this isn't a bold and significant move for Bey. Beyonce is constantly under public scrutiny so I believe making a move like this and doing what makes HER feel beautiful and not what the public/fans/critics define as beautiful is a bold move. For all of you out there who were hating and criticizing her decision to have this haircut you actually may learn something from her. How about you learn to be YOURSELF and not what others expect you to be. How about you form YOUR OWN opinions instead of trying so hard to follow the crowd. And how about you learn to realize that criticizing someone JUST for the purpose of being "different" isn't being "different" rather it is being ignorant because the basis of your criticism has no sense. If this is how Beyonce feels comfortable then shoutout to her for doing just that! Even if this is a temporary hair-do it doesn't matter. She did it and she loves it and that is all that matters. The moral of my story is don't be too busy criticizing someone who is doing something that makes them happy while you are sitting somewhere miserable in your shoes :) #FoodForThought

Kelly Rowland Dirty Laundry

If you haven't listened to and downloaded Dirty Laundry by Kelly Rowland by now, what are you doing with your life. Let me tell you why this song is one of the greatest songs i've heard in a while. THE HONESTY! Singers, rappers, and celebrities in general love to talk about how "real" they are and how they want their fans to relate to them. Raise your hand if you really actually ever relate to their super fabulous and extravagant lives. The reason that I am so here and present for Dirty Laundry by Kelly is because of the realness. No, I may not have experienced domestic violence but which one of us women hasn't been in a relationship that your friends want you to get the heck out of. We have all had that relationship that our friends or family members just don't agree with. Shout out to Miss Kelly Rowland for being able to speak out so publicly about this negative time in her life.
Another reason I absolutely love this song is the way she talked about her initial feelings towards her sister Beyonce's success. Come on now! We have all had that friend or family member who is out there doing big things and you are just like ugh "when will my day come?" This song absolutely humanized Kelly and I love her for it. We often idolize our favorite rappers, singers, and actors without realizing that behind all the glitz and glamour is a real human with real life problems. I think Kelly taught us all a lot of things with this song. She personally taught me that it is okay to be human and make mistakes its not the mistakes that define you, rather, it is the way you pick yourself back up.
In the words of Miley Cyrus "There's Always gonna be another mountain, i'm always gonna wanna make it move. There's always gonna be an uphill battle and sometimes your gonna have to lose. Aint about how fast I get there, aint about what's waiting on the other side...it's the climb."
So no matter what you are going through today. Just keep climbing.
And thank you Miss Kelly for making yourself so emotionally available to your fans!

If you haven't already, definitely download "Dirty Laundry" by Kelly Rowland on iTunes
